The Cost of a Memorial The cost of a memorial can vary depending on many factors. The amount of text, the finish used on the lettering, the use of motifs in the design and the inclusion of flower vases are just a few of the added costs you must consider when deciding on a lasting tribute to commemorate the life of a loved one. Below are some examples to provide a guideline to the cost of a memorial stone. Standard Black Granite Memorials
The standard size of our black granite memorials is 27" high by 21" wide, with a 3" thick base measuring 24". Using the picture to the right as an example, a basic memorial with minimum inscription (painted silver), would cost in the region of £880 + vat. This would include Church Fees (and the arrangement of all necessiary permissions), the manufacture of the memorial, and installation. More Elaborate Memorials
Using the same standard sized memorial, we can add personalised touches such as a meaningful motif, integral flower vases and gilded lettering. Using the example to the left, a memorial with two flower vases in the base, gilded text, and a Celtic Cross motif, the cost would be in the region of £1,125 + vat. This would include Church Fees (and the arrangement of all necessiary permissions), the manufacture of the memorial, and installation. We can also manufacture completely individual memorials from Pooil Vaaish Limestone, or comission special sizes, designs, or finishes direct from our supplier in the UK. Please enquire for prices. |
